Schober becomes Capaneo – data expertise meets AI technology
Stuttgart, December 1, 2025 – Schober Information Group Deutschland GmbH is now operating under the name Capaneo GmbH. The brand change stands for consistent further development – from a veteran of German direct marketing with almost 80 years of expertise to an innovative, AI-supported technology partner for data-driven marketing.
“Following the major AI development of “udo” as a multi-agent system for sales and marketing, the new company name Capaneo sums up the way we see ourselves,” explains Managing Director Sylvia Türcke. “We combine data expertise with technological excellence to create real added value for data-driven marketing – from the database to analysis and activation. Our new name stands for this combination of experience, innovative strength and future orientation.”
Technology, data and AI: a new era begins
The data remains at the heart of the company. It is merged, cleansed, enriched and made available via the company’s own udo solution – the only AI agent with direct access to high-quality marketing data. This is the first time Capaneo has combined artificial intelligence, data expertise and technology to create a powerful ecosystem for modern marketing. Private data clouds and indirect LLM access ensure data sovereignty and efficiency – making udo fully compliant with data protection regulations.
What udo actually does: udo is a database manager, data analyst and marketing manager in one. He brings together data from various sources, analyzes customer data and sales opportunities and creates personas. On this basis, he develops specific campaign ideas in terms of channel, content and tonality and, if desired, implements them automatically (e.g. via API to an email tool or social media accounts).
